well my mate has a mk5 and i just really liked the shape of the boot lid it also has the built in break light, it don't have a big hole like the mk4 where the window wiper goes either and they have a bit more shape to them.
i got some rear lights for it too that fit a mk5 and it fits spot on with the boot lid so i thought i would do it.
i'm 22 mate if your thinking of going to college go for it it saves you a lot of money getting things done on your car.

Woah this guys hardcore. I didnt even know how people did smoothing and what went into filling the gaps....what is that material?

Your car has the potential to be one sic dub. Cant wait to see the end result.

Would you consider doing smoothing work for me? :D Obv I would pay depending on how much you charge.

mk4mike, since u put it that way, i would be intreged in body work on my car. looks like u can start your own little dubbing buisness. basically i gotta get the front and or rear strips redone from where i took them of and used body filler to fill them. got some slight gapping on the rear but the front is fine i think and pretty much get the car resprayed just wat u can see as i used halfords paints so noticably obviouse colour difference.... and wanna do something with the handles but havnt decided wat yet.....

p.s. i live in aldershot.

Good job overhere, love the mk5 tail info 8) keep it up, why didn't you used ABS plastics to "weld" the front bumper clean? When using fibreglass the materials will start to "work" and the edges start to show :(
