I don't wana sound like a Kevver here (and it's a shame they've ruined the idea of having one). But I'd like a dump valve. Not a long drawn out one, just a quick one. I know that you can get atmospheric and re-circulating ones, and that if fitted incorrectly can cause harm and loss of power. But how and why? Also whats the difference and where are they available from.
This is assuming that I can even fit one to a supercharged engine?

Steer clear of them on G40's becasue they don't work. I know people who have tried them and they are a waste of time. The G40 uses a boost return valve to release excess boost pressure.
If you fit twin inlets and vent the boost return to atmosphere, then it gives an noticeable whoosh of air that sounds better than a dump valve.
