Yea i ment reflector. As HID's in reflectors is scaterd light and dazzels drivers so you need projectors to stop this. or did you just bung them in the standard ones?
dont think its a major problem my self but police dont like it

Nice ride matey. Looks awsome!! Keep up the good work. You have the same number plate lights as me :D They are a good buy, like you said the cheaper LED's jsut blow for fun, or at least they do in mine. :(

As for the HID's i think most of the people on here bought the Ultimate HID kit from HIDS4U, due to the canbus system in the cars. I have them and would say there worth every penny. Plus you get a 2 year warrenty which is pritty damn good.

Ahh i see yes i have reflector headlights and adjustable levelling (all GTI have this i assume) so adjusted the beam down.
Haven't been stopped by any police and have always had HID's on all my cars in reflector headlamps

Didnt even try the cheaper led's just read about them always blowing.
Also the standard number plate bulb holder block some of the light getting out so not as bright.

Yeah i know of this company but i refuse to pay that sort of money for the same thing i have.
I have always got my HID kits from ebay and have never had any problems.

I had a set on one of my cars for about 2.5 years then a ballast went, got a new ballast from ebay for £7 from china (got 2 so the colours matched)
so not worried about warranty.

thanks for the comments

Well to make the job as easy as possible I just removed the headlight fitted the bulbs and replaced the headlight.
To remove the head light you need to take the bumper off which isn't difficult.
This provides open space to work in and also mount your ballast units so they cant be seen.

i went for 6000k as for me that's the best colour that white/blue colour.
A friend of mine had 8000k but they were to blue for me.
Everyone to they own I suppose.

Well i tell you what when or if i sell them you have 1st refusal.

i tend to look after my wheels very well and pride myself on not scratching wheels, so they will be in good condition

Fitted the Seat bushes Saturday, wow what a difference they make.

Recommend these to all who don't have them.

Also removed the spring seat adjuster on the rear to get rid of the gap
