6n Polo Valver SOLD

Post by NOZ »

I am regrettably selling my 6n Polo 16v just because I fancy a bigger and more powerful motor after owning this for over 3 years. This car has had immense amounts of cash spent on it regardless of costs as the following will show lol. It’s my pride and joy and being an extremely nippy car it drives superb and always turns heads.

Engine
1.4 16v DOHC (100bhp)
K&N Induction kit with cold air feed.
High Flow Cat with new pipe work to a custom back box with a hidden tailpipe done at Powerflow (lifetime guarantee)

Interior, Audio and Security
The 16v interior is clean.
Only addition is the aluminium gear knob.
Sevic 4” DVD Player (DVD, USB, SD Card) and Sony Xplode 6x9’s.
Interior and Proximity sensored alarm.

Exterior
The car benefits from a full resrpray prior to my purchase
De-badged
Badgeless Grille
Black roof, bonnet, mirrors and 16v splitter.
Front bumper side grilles smoothed
Rear bumper smoothed with plate relocated
Boot debadged and recess smoothed
6n2 rear clusters
Clear indicators all around
Pressed plates
As the pictures prove, the car looks extremely clean when polished up.

Chassis
FK Coilovers 30-120mm
Black Diamond Brake Discs (Grooved/Vented/Drilled)
Black Diamond Predator Pads
15" BBS RA's with locking nuts.
Recently bought 3 tyres for it.

Service
MOT ends 10/2010 (All previous MOT’s available)
Tax ends 09/2010 (Will be given a 12 month prior to date)
Car comes with Electric windows (Both working), PAS, Central Locking, sunroof and factory tinted windows.
Car has done 107,600 miles (in daily use so expected to increase) and has FSH. It was just given a full service although it didn’t require it due to prior engine work.

Service Stamps
06/02/1997 – VW Factory Service
09/02/1998 – 1,559 miles – VW
10/02/1999 – 6,006 miles - VW
25/01/2000 – 9,128 miles - VW
02/06/2000 – 9,979 miles – Daewood Cars Ltd
24/02/2001 – 19,036 miles – VW
27/09/2001 – 25,730 miles – VW
03/04/2003 – 39,635 miles – VW
03/04/2004 – 50,657 miles – PA Auto’s
20/07/2006 – 73,000 miles – VW Specialists (Cambelt)
Since my ownership
10/07/2007 – 83,566 miles – Big Boys Toys (£700 overhaul)
13/02/2008 – 97,446 miles – Shamim Auto
08/09/2009 – 101,758 miles – Shamim Auto (Cambelt)
19/08/2010 – 107,682 miles – Shamim Auto

There are tons of garage and parts receipts. During my ownership I have probably spent around 7k with nothing to spare with receipts to prove. It is now a great example of a 16v with none of the common drawbacks.

The original gearbox was reconditioned about a year ago.
The pedal box was also replaced soon after I purchased the car.
The headgasket and rocker cover gasket were both replaced just before it was necessary with service parts and additional work around 106k miles. The garage pretty much cleaned up most of the internals just because I’m a loyal customer!

It runs sweet as a nut and a potential owner should have no fears of common Polo issues as they’ve all been eradicated.

Additional extras
2 sets of Keys and alarm fobs
FK Powerlook headlights and 6000k HIDs
Standard tinted 16v rear clusters

Can supply an uber rare set of Zender Sterns for an additional £400.

Bad points
As you can guess a car of this age will have minor issues due to being a daily motor.
Driver seat bolster stitching has stretched (Prior to owning it).
Very fine stone chips on the front as should be expected.
There is a small 50p dent in the O/S/F wing.
There are a few unnoticeable scratches along the sides which could easily be fixed as well as the front bumper as a result of some chavs driving antics.
The paint has also cracked where the plate recess was smoothed on the front bumper due to another chavs parking mistake!
Small amount of rust has recently appeared on the O/S rear arch.

I have priced the car at £1685ovno taking everything into consideration. Part exchanges are welcome as I’m currently looking to buy something like an Audi A4/A3 around the £4-6k mark depending on what I get for the valver.

The car is located in East London and viewings are welcome. Test drives are subject to seeing proof of insurance to drive 3rd party vehicles.
