Me too. Actually I've just got 300 miles from £40.00 worth of Ultimate. Very pleased with that tbh.MrP wrote:Fooking hell, how many miles are you doing on that?bradley1983 wrote:I sware my tank is like the river thames. I put SO much in every week.

Remember Bradley does like 135mph on the way to work so its not suprising he gets through so much fuel lolbradley1983 wrote:I sware my tank is like the river thames. I put SO much in every week.

Re: Tank Size In Polo GTI
I got 280 miles out of 90% full tank of Shell V-Power.
That was driving ecomocially but I did have a full on duel with a Fiesta ST which must have cost me 15 miles worth of fuel.
I was pretty pleased with that though

My record is 400ish from a full tank.. And I mean a full tank, was running on magic and wizardry by the time I needed to fill up again. That was some motorway driving (all at 70mph max) and the rest was kept below 3k. Most boring week in my entire life. Works out about 40mpg. I would think 450 miles to a tank doing 60mph on a motorway the entire tank is achievable.
The worse I have had is done is 70 miles from £20.. Worked out about 20mpg or something silly.. Yes, that was 75 miles of pure VVT abuse. Some of the best few hours in my life!!
My average is about 300 ish..
Shows you what a difference driving styles can do.

Re: Tank Size In Polo GTI
70 miles from £20 damn that would take some beating
that's deffo VVT action, 5000 or over and you know your in the Zone
I have only ever used Shell V Power in mine since owning it and I probably average about 32-33MPG but that does involve twisty/hilly B Roads for my journey two and from work with the odd bit of town driving.
I rarely fill the tank though, im a £20/£30 here or there kind of guy just to save some weight haha
They say the GTI should average about 38MPG but like you said on the Motorway it should be good for 40 or possibly more if your lucky. I have attempted being economical a few times but just as it seems i'm doing well I get Lead foot syndrome and loose my economy, normally because of some Bellend tailgating.
There's something about the GTI when it comes off a roundabout in 2nd that just says "go on son give it some VVT"

Ha ha, i'm 100% with you.. At the end of the day if you want economy don't buy a GTi!6N2 GTI 00 wrote:70 miles from £20 damn that would take some beatingthat's deffo VVT action, 5000 or over and you know your in the Zone

All I ever use is V-Power too! And yes, it was some spirited driving to say the least.. There are some great roads around Sheffield!

Re: Tank Size In Polo GTI
Exactly mate If I wanted economy I would of bought a TDI.
I think the GTI is more suited for nice B Roads, mine is never likes stop start traffic and whilst being very comfortable on the motorway I much prefer going through the gears on a nice B road. Coilovers do make a big difference though too.
Iye South Yorkshire has some class roads, i'm quite lucky because I live 2 miles away from the Evo Triangle on the Denbigh Moors which is probably one of the best roads in wales, very high speed road with some quality corners.
