id b realllyy grateful if any1 cud help me here
mark 5 polo x reg, 1.4 TDI S,
battery light keeps showing up on the speedometere even when car is started, i have 2 jump start the car or charge the battery, the battry is a newly replaced heavy duty battery, any suggestions?????????????????

check alternator out, that could be your problem

defo the alternator or something is draining the battery, check nothing is on that would draing the battery, boot light on when boots shut etc.

ant imagine the boot light will drain that much current, not to that effect, maybe if left for ages without running the car. Could be something along those lines though.

i left my interior light on in the car for over night and it drained the battery!
also if you run the battery hard with a stereo then it often is weaker!

Hi Taz

Confirm Zahir's first reply. Your battery is not being charged by the alternator. Regret it probably needs a replacement, but check that it's rotating when the engine runs - very difficult to see.
