Right this is getting on my nerves now. My passenger window keeps getting stuck it sometimes goes up on its own but most times I have to help push the glass up, no problems with the window coming down. I have cleaned the runners and rubbed washing up liquid and yet the problem remains. Time for a new window motor maybe?
Its a 2000 x reg Polo Gti. 3 door.
Cheers,
Passage Window Problem

Re: Passage Window Problem
Most likely one of the clips that attachs the window to the runners has snapped ( you have two) the window will struggle to go up as technically only one side is pushing it up.
You can either replace these clips completely or, use a cable tie to 'clamp' the part which holds the bottom of the window to the runner again.

Are there 'Uprated' Clips? Or is it best to cable tie?
Thanks.

Re: Passage Window Problem
Think you can buy repair kits from VW, although cable ties hold up pretty well as long as you don't slam the door with the window down.
Re: Passage Window Problem
Nuts and washers - cheaper than vw
