These cars don't have a coil pack.....its a DIS - distributor less ignition system. A coil pack is could be compared to a DIS per spark much like the 1.8T has which has one on each spark plug.

Distributer part number then????? Any idea??? Trying to cure a possible problem of miss fire once on a journey sometimes.....

Hasn't been changed so think I should and get better sparks, what would you suggest????

Get genuine VW sparks.

It sounds like it could be the DIS mate. Ill see if i can find a part number

Will updated sparks be better though? Like quad sparks and that? Or NGK r's I think that's what it had when I first changed them....

Want to change them before the remap at AMD.

Its recommended to use Genuine VW ones - They are triple electrode anyhow. I had some odd misfires with Bosch Super 4 (quads)

On a remap, genuine ftw

Yeah I got a set of oem ones coming and an oem dis or coil whatever it is lol!!!!

All for £90 quid, sisters boyfriend gets a vw discount or summing at work....

So hopefully that cures me little problem....

Dunno if it's a good price or not but take it its not bad????

Had new ht leads a year ago so they should be fine.....

Hope I get a decent figure on my remap,
