Ok small update.

Finally got the diff fitted to the gearbox so swapped the gearbox over and fitted the new flywheel and clutch.

Also changed the rear spring rubbers to lower the rear another 10mm. Thanks to Shabar on here for pointing this out to me

VW polo rear spring rubber on the right and Seat version on the left.







Can I just ask, do these lower the standard suspension by 10mm as well and is it a simple swap?

Hi all,

Picking my car up from MJ's on Saturday as the retrim is complete but i couldn't wait any longer to see what it looked like so got him to send me a couple of pics.

Will get some better pics with my new SLR camera once its back with me but here's the big reveal.

Thanks Alan. Yesterday wasn't the best day to collect the car with all the snow we had.
The polo was almost written off due to someone else spinning out in front of me. Quick thinking and some hand action brake saw the polo going sideways to avoid hitting them head on at 50mph

but I keep wondering, did you have airbags in the oem seats ? if yes, what happened to the error ? if there aren't any errors, are the new ones suppose to work ?

Yes the OEM seats did have airbags but so do the Recaro's and i have wired them up so no error and in the event of an accident they would deploy

thats awesome news. i thought that they only work with VW airbags

Finally got round to fitting my 256mm rear disc conversion

Old callipers off



Solid disc vs vented discs



Splash plate removed for modifying



Modified splash plate fisted (have to remove the lip to clear new larger discs)



Disc fitted (been sitting for a while)



All back together
