What are these for?

Post by tolse7 »

Just got some eibach pro kit springs for a 9n polo. With the springs there is 4 metal collars in the box aswell. Reckon these are locking collars but I can't think where they will go when I fit the springs??

Anyone fitted these before or be able to shed some light?

possibly to widen the mounting point of the springs where the pigtails will sit? Out of ideas otherwise without seeing the setup in front of me :?

I just received a kit and had the same question. Found the answer ... http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/34 ... ge__st__30

From the above 'The collars are intended to be attached to either end of the steering rack to restrict travel, thereby minimising the likelyhood of rubbing due to the lowered stance'

I am not going to fit them, if rubbing ensues, then I will fit them.
