De-Cat or sports cat?

Post by jak-rabbit »

Hey guys/gals

im looking to buy a full milltek system for my 9n3 and im stuck as to wether or not to go sports cat or De-cat... My friend is offering to sell his sports cat for £250 or i could buy a new decat for £190. Question is...which sounds better? easier to live with etc. is the de-cat too much? does it affect MPG?

cheers!

De-Cat or sports cat?

Post by lukey GTI »

I have a de cat don't get me wrong I love the pop bang sound it makes but sometimes it's cringey when your driving down your road early morning or late at night. Specially where I live a few neighbours have complained at how loud it is but also get compliments off a few to how good it sounds it's deffo less restrictive than the standard one Also gets annoying on long motorway trips and who ever is in the back gets out half deaf still wouldn't change it for the world at the moment

i see i see, cheers for the reply! Im leaning toward a sports cat now i think for day to day use. i cant imagine the sound is much different nor the gains much different.
