Car was stood for a few weeks and a pond was found in the passenger footwell behind the drivers seat!

I've drained the water out but a lingering smell remains. Has anyone had a similar leak before? I have no idea where the leak came from and it hasn't leaked since. I'm not sure how to get rid of the smell either :(

It comes from the doorcards normally - the membranes leak and have to be stuck back on
