The road I drive on to work and back has fog enough times in the year that I value fog lights on the front, though I'm guessing the brightness of the DRL's may be sufficient.
It does confuse me a little as to why they are removed when the Xenon's are fitted, and the Sight & Light Pack seems to imply separate DRL's are installed but not quite sure on this one yet.
Waiting for the online configurator to be updated to the new Polo spec. as the brochure isn't quite enough
New to the forum and Polo ownership (soon). I've have an order for the facelift Polo due July/August. I've gone for the following:
1.2TSI (90) SE 5 Door
Nimbus Grey
Mirrorlink
Front Passenger Airbag deactivation
Front armrest
Lights & Sight Pack
Cruise & Park Park
Front Fog lights with Cornering Function
Initially had tinted glass but removed as it's not important to me. I would defo would of had the folding mirrors if they had kerb view but it's has been confirm as a missing feature.
The car is a run about so isn't our primary car. But I'm pretty excited as I think the Polo really looks grown up and shouts quality and ages well compared to its peers.
Let me know if you have any questions as I've been through the specs for a few weeks now.
Did you order direct from the dealer or did you try a website like drivethedeal or orangewheels?
I'm curious to know if these websites are genuine, any thoughts people?
DriveTheDeal are real sites, if they were not dealers would not match against them. I've used DTD before so I'm confident.
I basically used DTD for a quote and then called up dealers and told them my exact spec, and they had to beat the DTD price, some dealers will give you a lot cr@p about it's too much discount to give, which is their loss, if your struggling, PM me and I'll let you know the dealer that has matched DTD (based in West Midlands).
On another note, I've decided to add tinted windows back onto my order.
I'm waiting to order, but can't commit until I clarify a few things through the online configurator. I spoke to VW UK and even they said to just keep an eye on it, it will be very soon, they are just waiting for some finer details to be confirmed..?
I'm not sure what they meant be that though, as the order book is technically 'open', and the price listings and brochures have been released..
Last night I noticed if you select 'I want a new car' and selected polo, it showed the new facelift; when you clicked on the picture it was the pre-facelift model!
Well I've been through and spec'd the following, which has now been sent to the best offer Dealer on carwow:
Polo BlueGT in Silk Blue metallic
Anthracite wheels
Standard Blue Speed seats
Light & Sight pack
Carpet mats
Ensurance
Service Plan
Parking sensors, front and rear
Front Mudflaps
Rear Mudflaps
Door Sill Trim - Steel (3 Door)
Mine will hopefully replace a 12 year old Vauxhall Astra 1.6 16v LPG which I have owned since new It is about to clock 210,000 miles and had a full professional engine rebuild at 156,000 miles (but didn't need it!).
The Polo BlueGT is the best compromise of performance and economy that I can find I'll be covering approx. 10,000 miles per annum now.
