Rear bumper reflector replacement?

Post by DaniiCEO »

Hi guys,

My girlfriend got a new polo a few weeks ago and unfortunately she reversed into something. What she's done is clipped the rear bumper and broken the reflector light. I can't seem to find a replacement part anywhere on line.

Does anyone know if I can just replace the reflector light itself or would I need to replace the whole new bumper? (The plastic bumper shell behind the reflector is also cracked).

It's a 1.0 Litre SE Polo.

Thanks people.

Rear bumper reflector replacement?

It doesn't look too bad from the pictures. I would say roughly £25-30 for a set of reflectors, although you will probably need to phone your local VW dealer inorder to obtain them, as there isn't many parts online for the new 6C.

Hopefully that is the case anyway. As I would imagine a new rear bumper would be pretty expensive. As you would need to buy the part, maybe have it primed? Then painted and fitted..?

Thanks for the reply :)

Yeah that's a good point, don't think I'm going to bother with another bumper. It is only a small thing after all, I think we'll give the dealer a call and see what he says price wise. Do you think I should have it fitted by them too or shall I just source the part. I've heard that jobs from dealers tend to be overpriced, do you think that would be a factor in this case?
