Ah! dammit... ok, spy cameras...

IMHO:
Today almost all places where there are people also there surveillance cameras, you can park close to them for these issues (in the viewing angle :) ). However, there are always certain things in this life that is better not to know. Better to have a good insurance, the damage will occur anyway and personal instinct is very difficult to control at times.
If I had this kind of camera, I think I would already be in jail or in hospital. (this is an exaggeration, but my thoughts deserve jail  ) 1,2,3 ... relax (keep calm) ... and get good insurance. After repair ... hmm ... selling the car and you buy another brand new, so the damage shall be released (in this way only, my dear insurers... ).

Take a pic (HD if possible) of fuse box, with the info provided by iichel we can establish the best slot for the Fuse of your surveillance system.

Ha! :D thanks ciclo, yes spy cameras... I know what you are saying but in London its silly what people do to your cars and insurance companies well depending on who you are with, they can be so rubbish. Claiming stills means you have to pay the excess and also can affect your NCD ..plus makes me feel better having them! Also another plus to them is people don't tailgate me now as they see the camera in the rear so back off, which is just great. The car cameras are better than CCTV which can be so useless as the quality was so bad they couldn't pick up the plate of the car. Its when I park in really busy car parks and idiots can't manoeuvre properly!

will send pic next, and thanks again.

what we're looking for on the photo is an empty slot but at one side (top or bottom) a little metal visible. You'll probalby notice some of these slots have nothing at all in them (fuse or metal) and some slots have a clamp at one side.

So both photos do help somehow, we're looking for an empty slot (no fuse) with at one side a clamp. So we can put another clamp into it, with a wire and fuse it.

So as you can see in my PDF on dropbox, we are looking at fuse holder C, starting on page 4.
You are looking for a Terminal 30 (last column). Terminal 30 is a battery powered line, and stays live when ignition is switched off.
So for example fuses 1 all the way to 23 are Terminal 30.
That's the entire bottom row.

So let's have a look at the last photo. Do you see the wider fuses 30-5-30-7,5 amps? Those are all on the Terminal 30.
To the right of the 7,5A fuse, that is place 9, there is an empty slot for the sunroof engine. But you probably don't have.
And there is a slight glimp of metal, so it is use-able.

So what you got to do is get a piece of wire with a standard power timer female and stick it in on the back.
After that you can put a fuse in slot 9 (next to the 7,5A on the bottom middle row) and you have an always-live 12V line with a fuse. Probably a 5A fuse is more than enough for 2 cameras.
5A x 12V = 60W

I think so ;)
Look at this:
ciclo wrote:The paper template is to mark fastening points on the floor (carpet), with a punch and a cutter I've done the holes.
(necessary to be courageous, no turning back)Image
To take as reference the outer line of standard footrest and the bottom line of the trim. (see pictures)

The trim does not fit "perfectly" (nothing major) because is necessary slightly bend outward when it is installed.
Over the time, when the plastic adopt the right shape, it will fit perfectly.
Another way would be heat the plastic, but I have preferred not play with fire ...Image hehe

Good fixing with cable ties, the footrest is integrated to the floor.

As I explained here:
http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 85#p484325
... here is the result of the caps pedals.

Thanks audiobull  , this is only a hobby for me, but the passion has no limits (money), to infinity and beyond...
warder wrote: You've done a holes in the carpet? I cannot understand how you tied the clamps
Yes, I used a punch to make fastening points in the carpet.
