i think the polar fis simply works over CAN so it's probably possible. but it's just a bit more difficult to retrofit, you have to find out which wires it uses (can convenience, powertrain or diagnostics).
this is of course under the assumption that the polo instrument cluster supports the FIS.

Just got around to testfitting the LED indicator bulbs I bought waaaaaaaaay back... Heres is to compare to the stock bulb. Looks awesome but needs a resistor too.
The arrow in the speedo is flashing waaay to fast.

Hi ciclo, this type of LED is good for the back indicator lights? --> http://m.aliexpress.com/item/2043874704.html bau15s

And this for front indicator lights --> http://m.aliexpress.com/item/32238414368.html h16

you need bau15s for front and back in the 6R. but it will give you a bulb error because of the low power consumption.

in the bi-xenon headlights of 6r the indicator bulbs aren't h16? I will use resistors to avoid bulb error

if you have a 6R Blue GT (not 6C), you has a separate CAN gateway
it is located behind the glove box

wamba, as I told at other times, no was installed a separate Gateway in all BlueGT 6R, it was progressively eliminated Image. You can check in ETKA, by dates.

The production of Polos with start/stop and separate gateway stopped at week 45/2012 - believe me: I have checked this with VW.
I have a Blue GT from 2014 and there is no gateway behind the glove box. A VCDS scan of my car tells the same story. It is a part of the BCM....

I need to use the resistors only for front turn signal bulb?

No. for every light you put LED indicators in you need a resistor.

Hi Ciclo, is necessary to change the BCM for the button illumination with the MFSW Polo 6C R-line 1K8419091 AP? viewtopic.php?p=498666#p498666

mostly yes, but it depends a bit on what bcm you have in there right now

Hello federicodrdpro.
Yes, (at the moment, as far I know) you need to change the BCM to get the backlighting buttons.
The problem is that if you have a Polo BlueMotion with external Gateway also have to change all communication signals from the external gateway to new BCM and eliminate the old Gateway. This is because the new 7E0 937 090 BCMs (or 7H0 937 090 D) that provide the backlighting buttons are not designed for external Gateways (as far I know).

If I remember correctly you have a BlueMotion.
iichel did exactly all this I described above because he had an external gateway.

If you have a Bluemotion without external Gateway or a 6R non BlueMotion with factory xenon (like me  ), Congratulations!!!, all you have to do is change the comunication lines with instrument cluster when you install BCM 7E0. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2nv91 ... dvcmc/view

To others:
If you have a non Bluemotion without factory xenon headlights you have to buy a BCM 'High' (05/2015 --->) to get the backlighting buttons in new vw steering wheel models, but also you can install a 7E0 BCM 'Max' with new wirings to make possible that all lights will be controlled for this new BCM 'Max'. In this way you have the posibility to install automatic lights and bi-xenon headlights plus other functions (those already known and to be discovered  ).

I have a question for everyone:
Does anyone know the security access to do adaptations in 6R instrument cluster? (To adapt functions. Not for the immobilizer or correct kilometers)
PM please.
- 20103 or 13861 do not work.

Cruise Control Display 'High'. Being a security element I do not understand why the Polo 6R does not have it.
High? I really doubt it, however it should be a high priority update on all 6R. Image

By the way, I think it is an interesting website for the UK.

Fernando, as far I had studied this issue when tried to change the fuel tank charasteristic. There is impossible to get the security access to the kombiistrument. There are encrypting system and the access code always changes. The only equippment wich could hack cluster's security system is AVDI - ABRITES Vehicle Diagnostic Interface. The other way is to direct cluter's EEPROM editing through direct connection to the chip using the programmer. But the only problem there are not a friendly interface, and you should know what EEPROM's byte to be edited. I know only some of them:
1)to change car icon on the dispay
Image
2)to acivate needle sweep (if the adaptation channel is not available)
3)to change cluster's backlight mod
4)to change the fuel tank charasteristic - 55 liters for Polo 6R sedan
