Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
Thanks Ciclo for the answer! I have a Polo 6R 1.2 TDI not Bluemotion. My BCM is a 6R0 937 087 K version with firmware 0251.
I bought 1K8419091AF steering wheel and 5G0880201J airbag. I don't understand if the 5k0959542 control unit in necessary for the MFSW with 1K8419091AF steering wheel.
I don't see control unit in ETKA 7.5. Can you tell me the wiring links?
For the buttons illumination, I think this is an economic solution: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index ... #msg999999
P.S. I don't have MFSW in my Polo now.

the polo R has the high display cruise controlciclo wrote:Cruise Control Display 'High'. Being a security element I do not understand why the Polo 6R does not have it.
High? I really doubt it, however it should be a high priority update on all 6R.![]()

Now the control unit is integrated into the buttons on the left side, another unit is not necessary (logically).federicodrdpro wrote:Thanks Ciclo for the answer! I have a Polo 6R 1.2 TDI not Bluemotion. My BCM is a 6R0 937 087 K version with firmware 0251.

Wires MFSW
Traditional way
1- Power Supply (+15): from T41/9 ---> to SB10b fuse 2Amp
2- Lin: from T41/10 ---> to T73b/17 (or T28a/16 driver door connector. More easy way)
pics and more info viewtopic.php?f=10&t=54171#p421709
But perhaps you should do a test that no one has tried so far to see if it works with your current BCM (Old BCM models).
It's another OEM way.
1- Power Supply: from T41/9 ---> to SB10b fuse 2Amp (as before)
2- Connect the communication lin from T41/10 ---> to T73b/36. With VCDS, BCM enable Bit6 Byte29.
Tell us the results. Operation buttons and lighting.
Perhaps it is even cheaper than the Golf link method that you posted. Good luck! it would be excellent to many people.
I have connected my buttons in this last way, but with different BCM (new BCM model). My buttons work perfectly with the two ways.
Please if someone tries this new way to connect the buttons of the new steering wheels models with the old BCMs in 6R tell us the results.
It may work in some old BCMs but not in others.

IMHO Cruise Control Display is most needed in the rest of Polo 6R, the elderly people usually do not buy a WRC.
For example:
If an elderly driver (and not so older) touches a button (the small rocker switch on CCS stalk) from OFF to ON and nothing happens, he/she not knows that has activated the CCS and then we'll regret the consequences when weird things happen ...
A device oriented to driving security must NEVER be the cause of an incident or accident.
Software update now!

Sometimes I have to do a double check over the small lever because there is nothing to indicate it is active, especially at night

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
Just a short sharing of experience. The light assist really works well.
Somehow the old 1K8 mirror also worked for a while by the way. You have to program it over the powertrain canbus and then connect it to the instrument cluster canbus. Then it will work, sort of.
But the 7E0 solution works a lot better. There are no errors in the instrument cluster like 'Fault Light Assist', no errors in the BCM and the CAN gateway. Also I feel like it's more responsive.
It also looks a lot better. The only thing I miss is a switch-off button to temporarily deactivate the dimming mirror manually. I liked the permanent switch on the 1K0. The soft button on the 1K8 was reset after an ignition cycle.
The 7E0 does not offer a button to temporarily deactivate the dimming. Sometimes in city traffic I miss it.
The only small problem with the 7E0 mirror so far is the high beam flash. In Switzerland it is courtesy to warm for police and speed traps with the high beams.
If the headlights are on manually, there is no problem. If the headlights are on auto, no problem either. But if the light assist is enabled (but not active) it sometimes only flashes one high beam. Mostly then the left side stays off.
It only occurs some times, not all the time. It is really strange.
Apart from that it is absolutely perfect!

Thanks for give us your experience iichel, I really appreciate it ... especially with your '1K8 experiment'... lol! You're great.iichel wrote: The only small problem with the 7E0 mirror so far is the high beam flash. In Switzerland it is courtesy to warm for police and speed traps with the high beams.

My Bi-xenon headlights work like a charm in all condition and any position of light switch and stalk.
Did you make all the connections in this way? (high beam wires included)

Take a look at 7E0 mirror adaptations, perhaps you find something. I do not remember exactly but I think I read something about this.iichel wrote: The only thing I miss is a switch-off button to temporarily deactivate the dimming mirror manually. if I posted the link to show that the cruise control display running on polo R, is that it is possible to activate the rest of polo with MFA+ciclo wrote:

Yes, I kept all the same from the 7E0 mirror. Simply swap the mirror and it will work.ciclo wrote:Thanks for give us your experience iichel, I really appreciate it ... especially with your '1K8 experiment'... lol! The only thing is, you cannot approach the mirror anymore for coding and adaptations.
Thanks man! I'll look into it.ciclo wrote:Take a look at 7E0 mirror adaptations, perhaps you find something. My IC has the option, but not available.
My ECU (CBZC) maybe. Taking as reference the link of Skoda Roomster 1.2 TSI.

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
HI ciclo
Its really impressive what you have done to your 6R. Would you be able to help me ??
I have a 2016 Polo GT DSG 1.2 TSI. I have stock halogen lights installed from the OEM. However I want to now upgrade to Bi Xenon with LED DRL.
I have already bought Bi Xenon lights with LED DRL. I have also bought the following:
1) https://www.kufatec.de/shop/en/Volkswag ... VW-Polo-6R (10 - 14 pin)
2) https://www.x2car.de/Coming-Leaving-Hom ... egensensor (My car has OEM RAIN/LIGHT sensor)
3) Upgrade BCM part no. 6R0937088F. My original OEM fit BCM was 6RU 937 087 M
The new Xenon lights have come with 10 pin connector. Where as the kufatec harness has 14 pin connector. Please could help me with the wiring diagram to install the xenon adaptor with the auto lighting harness from x2car.de
Thankyou

- With luck your car is 2015 and not 2016.
- BCM 88F never will work in that Polo without external Gateway. So impossible.
- Xenon NOT OEM with 10-pin connectors, they are plug and play, I guess.
- kufatec and x2car provide installation instructions for their products.
To make work the automatic lights from x2car you have to install a BCM 089 or higher and modify the original wiring.
This guide will help you understand all this. In addition and is highly likely, you also need to modify the original wiring of parking lights in your Polo.
