Had this myself a couple of times, feels like the car is going to give up initially! Think it could be something to do with what fuel is put in... I purposely put in 99Ron Shell V Power at one point and it didn't seem to do it. Checked my oil yesterday and that's not the problem so no idea what else it might be!
Yeah I always use V power too. Think I'll stick it out till October service , then get dealer to look at that and my multitude of creaks and rattles !

Haha there was no way I could have waited nearly 2 months for mine, once I knew it was in the UK I wanted it.

Incidentally, did anyone else who ordered in May get the offer of one years free insurance ? Can find any reference on my paperwork, but I do know it was being promoted at time of ordering...[/quote]

I was offered the years free insurance with mine but the same as you there is nothing on my paperwork, I assume that will all be sorted out when I sign the final docs

When I went to sign the paperwork, they gave me a phone number to ring and a reference number for the free insurance. I did have to remind them about it though.

The City of Amsterdam completed the trip from Santander to Tynemouth yesterday but not sure if it left after you tracked your car to Santander
Tracking actually reports mine as having now arrived in the country, presumably on City of Amsterdam
Mine still at Santander, VW say it still doesn't have a ship allocated to it yet.

That's frustrating! Mine was built on the 13th of June and arrived at Tynemouth on the 28th and it's still there

I mentioned this happened on mine as well a few months back - almost always after having just reversed out of the drive, and particularly when the car was warm before restarting it. It first happened when I'd started putting 98RON fuel in and hasn't done it that I've noticed since going back to 95RON. I thought it was a bit of preignition through a combination of circumstances when using the more volatile fuel, but could be wrong. Won't be putting 98RON back in it though...

Strange, I have run mine exclusively on VPower since I picked it up and have done 6000 miles with no issues.

get on the case about the creeks and rattles ASAP

they will fob you off if it's a year old

i took mine in after a e-mail to vw germany and was there for nearly 2 weeks and quite a few things were replaced

it's still not 100 % but a hell of a lot better

Who do you email? Mine has been in to two dealerships now and I'm fed up. The first one had it for at least two weeks and the other for just under a week. It seems to rattle all over the place.

Volkswagen Group UK Ltd
Yeomans drive
Blakelands
Milton Keynes
MK14 5AN
Great Britain
Phone: +441908601601
E-mail: [email protected]

so i would probably try these details as you might get a quicker response
