Yeah I always use V power too. Think I'll stick it out till October service , then get dealer to look at that and my multitude of creaks and rattles !palermojd wrote:Had this myself a couple of times, feels like the car is going to give up initially! Haha there was no way I could have waited nearly 2 months for mine, once I knew it was in the UK I wanted it.Steviesparx wrote: No rush on my part however - don't intend picking it up until it gets it's 66 plate...

Incidentally, did anyone else who ordered in May get the offer of one years free insurance ? Can find any reference on my paperwork, but I do know it was being promoted at time of ordering...[/quote]
I was offered the years free insurance with mine but the same as you there is nothing on my paperwork, I assume that will all be sorted out when I sign the final docs

When I went to sign the paperwork, they gave me a phone number to ring and a reference number for the free insurance. I did have to remind them about it though.djbrad wrote:Steviesparx wrote:Incidentally, did anyone else who ordered in May get the offer of one years free insurance ? That's frustrating! Re: RE: Re: New GTI
I mentioned this happened on mine as well a few months back - almost always after having just reversed out of the drive, and particularly when the car was warm before restarting it. It first happened when I'd started putting 98RON fuel in and hasn't done it that I've noticed since going back to 95RON. I thought it was a bit of preignition through a combination of circumstances when using the more volatile fuel, but could be wrong. Won't be putting 98RON back in it though...Andy4791 wrote:Yeah I always use V power too. Strange, I have run mine exclusively on VPower since I picked it up and have done 6000 miles with no issues.Penarth Blues wrote:I mentioned this happened on mine as well a few months back - almost always after having just reversed out of the drive, and particularly when the car was warm before restarting it. get on the case about the creeks and rattles ASAP
they will fob you off if it's a year old
i took mine in after a e-mail to vw germany and was there for nearly 2 weeks and quite a few things were replaced
it's still not 100 % but a hell of a lot better

Glad it's not just mine in a way not meaning glad urs was same tho m8, it's loads worse when air con is on, obviously contracting plastics. Funny how my 2 worst cars for rattles have been this and a BMW mini, so called premium brands. LolDink wrote:Andy4791

Who do you email? Mine has been in to two dealerships now and I'm fed up. The first one had it for at least two weeks and the other for just under a week. It seems to rattle all over the place.Dink wrote:Andy4791
