Mk2F Project
I won a 93 Mk 2 F and recently rebuilt it as a GT, using all the parts from a 91 donor GT. To keep things simple, I used the induction and exhaust manifolds from the 93 1050 engine as this is a single point injection unit whereas the 91 is a carburetor model. It works fine but when speed drops (especially in traffic) the engine sometimes sort of shakes. Mountings are ok. I am thinking this is a fuelling issue as max speed is just over 120 kms/hr which is slower than the 1050 used to give. It just sort of runs out of breath. Acceleration is good though. Has anyone been through anything similar please and / or can confirm that a 1300 injection unit would resolve this please?
