1.0 Tsi Remapped

Post by Nirline6R »

So after a while of thinking about it, I couldn't resist anymore, and got my little 1.0 tsi R-line to be remapped.

The tuner told me not to expect any big differences. Maybe about 8-10hp more and +2kg of torque.
We dynoed the car stock and it made 110hp with 198Nm of torque. Spot on the factory numbers. The tuner made a file, always within safe and reliable margins, and uploaded it to the ecu.
Dyno time again, and the little 1.0 surely packed a punch!

131hp and 240NM of torque on 95RON petrol. About 135hp on 100RON. The car is 100% stock. I plan on adding an intake, and a bigger downpipe to free the turbo a bit. Then with a bit more tweaking it may hit 140+hp

I was really pleased with the difference, and it does show on the road! +21hp and 40Nm does make a huge difference in such a light car. It now feels more like a 1.4tsi rather than a 1.0.

A very impressive gain, I must say.

How does this impact fuel consumption and emissions, though?

I haven't noticed any change in fuel consumption. The trip computer shows a a slight increase of 0.2l-0.3l/100km but I still manage to get 560km+ on a full tank and highway driving.

Great numbers by the sound of it!

I know I’m in an old thread but I’d love to know how the longevity of your 1.0 has been mechanically (any trouble with services/parts over the past couple years since the tune).

I’ve got a 115hp 1.0 (seeing that they’re essentially identical mechanically) that I’d love to nudge up to the 135ish mark for that extra pep.

Cheers from Australia,
Brendan
