There's probably ?

Post by spybuggy »

Hi VWenner.

There's probably no :) :) who can / will tell me how to punch the lock cylinder out of the door handle on a VW Polo 6n.
I have tried to find something on youtube.
The lock cylinder should in some way be able to turn 90 g round with the key, but to feel without the locking piece around the lock cylinder also turning around.
But just that, with the few turning lock cylinder 90 g without the locking piece around the lock cylinder also turning around; I can not find that!

Thank You.

I’m not sure what you are asking here?

Have you got the handle off the car and you are trying to remove the barrel from it?

I have already removed the doorhandle from the door.
And I am sitting with the handle in my hand, and will now change the lockcylinder.
But I can´t remove the cylinder from the handle.

Have you removed all the rear mechanism including the close in pin that locks it into place?

If the key is in, it should pull out. Try some WD40 on it

Whatever you do, do not remove the key from the cylinder if it’s not in the handle
