Has anyone stage 2 remapped their GTI, if so what new parts have you fitted and what are the improvements? Thanks.

Re: APR Stage 2 Remap GTI 6C
for me if i was gong stage 2
i'd look at induction kit, intercooler and turbo back exhaust.
i'm going stage 3
so i've got a racingline induction kit and racingline turbo elbow, GFB dv+ diverter valve, forge turbo muffler delete, and wagner tuning competition intercooler.
i'm getting my milltek sports cat ceramic coated once it arrives
to be done is
milltek resonated cat back
quaife LSD
sachs uprated clutch and single mass flywheel
golf r turbo and map

Re: APR Stage 2 Remap GTI 6C
the stock clutch is border line on stage 2.
you need at least some sort of intake plus the stock polo turbo elbow will hold it back
you might see 320bhp with just exhaust(needs to be turbo back) and intercooler

Re: APR Stage 2 Remap GTI 6C
yeah but for how long? if you look in the comments he it thinking of replacing the clutch
it might not slip but instead of lasting 80k it might explode at 5k and destroy the flywheel and gearbox while it's at it.
not worth the risk imho
it's not cheap modding cars so if you try to cheap out if comes back to bite you some times

Well i agree yeah but i think that the clutch will give some sings that its passing out by sliping so you should get some notice from it that its at its limits but yeah i agree a sachs peroformance clutch will be the best also you sais quaife lsd ? Why? Our cars already have xds limited slip differential that isnt enough? Or it doesnt works well with that kind of power torque?

Re: APR Stage 2 Remap GTI 6C
the xds system just applies a slight amount of braking to slipping wheel to send more power back to the other wheel
this is why if you turn up the xds system you go through brake pads quicker

Re: APR Stage 2 Remap GTI 6C
yeah can be turned off with vcds easily
it's about £8-900 for diff plus bolts then fitting is on top

Re: APR Stage 2 Remap GTI 6C
So you recomend turn it off? Even i will wait some time to buy the quaife (fitment on top? So its easy right?) with so much hp (350) it wont do any good ? The xds? Will not put the power down correctly or what?

Re: APR Stage 2 Remap GTI 6C
you will need to turn it off if you get a limited slip diff fitted.
the car thinks it's running with an open diff so it would get confused if you tried to run the two together.
i'd recommend getting it turned up to strong if you know someone with vcds
