Polo GTI 6C 1.8 TSI (2016) Revo Stage 1?
Polo GTI 6C 1.8 TSI (2016) Revo Stage 1?
Hi,
I have a Revo Stage 1 booked for my Polo GTI this afternoon. Just wanted to know if anyone has had the Revo Stage 1 done and what figures/changes they've noticed.
Thanks.

How has your Revo stage1 gone? Hopefully everything went well. What figures are you now running?

Hi mate,
Everything went perfectly well. Car feels completely different, BHP increased from 192 to 240. Torque increased from 185 lb ft to 225 lb ft of torque. 3rd gear feels like 2nd gear now and 2nd gear just pulls hard. 0-60 has become 5.8 seconds. If you are looking to get a stage one carried out, I'd say it is a must! The launch acceleration is ridiculous and it has a clear speed increase. Before the stage one, when putting my foot down; even in second gear, I never felt any torque however Stage One has changed this. Feeling like a go kart and I'm very happy with the results.
Also, an advantage with Revo Stage 1 is if you want to get a stage 2 done in the future, it is a discounted price as it is just an upgrade in software. Lastly, fuel economy is the same; if not better (must fill up using V-Power for optimum performance results).

I'm guessing you have a dsg polo with such a low torque figure.
It's a shame they fitted the rubbish dry clutch box other wise it would of been a whole lot better.

Can I be cheeky and ask how much the remap was?
Looking at doing this here also.
Thanks

I'm not sure if this is a silly question as I have only started looking into a remap (I heard its a way to boost performance and the MPG which sounds like a win win?!) but can the remap be performed on a manual? Everywhere I have seen it is always on the DSG model?

Yes
More places actually offer to map the manual over the dsg due to the limitations of the dsg box.
I highly doubt you will gain fuel economy after a map.

Re: Polo GTI 6C 1.8 TSI (2016) Revo Stage 1?
Ah cool, thanks! I've always wondered how a remap could change the MPG, is it more likely to make it worst or just stay the same? That's probably my main concern as the mpg combined with the pathetically small fuel tank are the two biggest problems I have with the car (can't say I wasn't warned tho!)
Thanks.

Re: Polo GTI 6C 1.8 TSI (2016) Revo Stage 1?
It should stay roughly the same but I guess the speed increase will hurt it the most.
It's a lot better than my old 9n3 gti so I can't complain.

Ah cool, cheers. I think I will look into it then!
Re: Polo GTI 6C 1.8 TSI (2016) Revo Stage 1?
I have a manual Polo GTI. The torque figure is low but the increase in speed has almost made up for that low figure as well as the increase in BHP I suppose.
Re: Polo GTI 6C 1.8 TSI (2016) Revo Stage 1?
@DasSantos Now that you have had it fitted for a little while would you recommend it? I've been looking at all the different companies so will probably start a contentious thread over the next few days when I've got prices to see who is best.

The stock manual polo gti has 236lbs/ft of torque
Looking at the revo website you should now be somewhere between 270-290 lbs/ft

Just out of interest who installed the Revo map?
