Modded mod: Golf 7 rear tweeter grills

Did some changes to the rear tweeters. Now mounted the speaker grill of a golf Mk7. Not bad eh?

Mod: safety hammers on B-pillar

I had a scratch on the bottom of the B-pillar. And it was one of the parts of the car that were mostly unscathed. So I decided to take action to hide te scratch.
And improve the safety of the car at the same time

Here is the scratch:

And here is the solution:

8)

It would be necessary to do a crash-test to know if the safety hammers would not fly in case of impact.
Have you done the crash test?
Do you have the part number of the safety hammers?

edit

The Golf VII tweeters grilles don't have a flat shape... we want closer images. :)

I can throw the pillars against the wall really really hard if you like ;)

I was rather hoping you didn't ask about the tweeters. They are indeed not flat and the finished product is not perfect yet. I'm looking into some silicone glue to make the finishing edges 8) They are indeed not flat, they have a rounded curve, with the sharp edges of the rhombus being curved upward by about 2mm.

I'll make some more pictures once that's done. I always keep the back of the car a bit dark to hide the horrible imperfections, as you can also see on the lining of the C-pillar.
When there is not a lot of light on it, it looks pretty OK but now you see all the scratches. I guess this car is an object of use and abuse

Michel, you have good ideas and you share them, that's more than enough.

Who cares a few small scratches? hahaha...

Haha well I think you're even a bigger perfectionist than I am, so you probably get all itchy about scratches, just like me...

Yes, one in each door, one tweeter in each corner and a double-bass subwoofer. This is all controlled by the dynaudio 10-channel amplifier.

haha sure... any songs you'd like to request?
It does vibrate a little but the key to good sound is to avoid unnecessary oscillations. The subwoofer is very subtle and I like it that way. It's very nicely balanced between high and low frequency sound.

Thanks for the pics!

I see that you still have room in two of the panels you show to make one of my future modifications. Maybe you'll like it.

This modification remains secret due to some tests that I have to do. (functioning, VCDS, etc)
I can only say that it's a modification with many details ... a clue, '5d'. :)
