Or you could have a look at the fuse box diagrams: https://uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=71052
if it says terminal 30, it's a permanent plus. If it says terminal 15, it's an ignitions switched plus.

Should I connect to an already fused one and wich one? Or should i use a vacant one... Because the only one I can find vacant that is ignition switched is the 29, on the pdf it says it's terminal 87...
There's also the number 5 that is vacant and terminal 15, but I can't seem to access it from behind...
I would prefer to connect to an exhisting one, maybe the one that goes to the cigarrete lighter? Wich one is it?

The cigarette lighter is connected to fuse 42. I'd probably suggest a vacant one, if available.
Do you maybe have a picture of your fusebox?
The only one with terminal 15 that is available is slot number 5, but when I look behind it, I can't seem to access it, the middle row where number 5 is, is like covered with plastic, I don't know... Hard to explain, i will try and take a photo... But I will probably connect it to number 42 then, since the dashcam is ment to be connected to the cigarrete lighter anyway...

remember to tell your "61 battery monitor" module that you installed a new battery. I think it's somewhere in adaptation, you'll have to encode the new battery type (same as old) vendor, capacity and a few digits of the S/N.
a trick that a VW employee taught me, since you're probably changing to the same capacity and type, to simply change the last digit. i'm not sure what to think about it. it's clever, but could confuse later on.
Hey iichel, I just installed the new battery, but I can't find the Serial Number :/
VCDS tells me that it needs to be a 10 digit code...
Even when I look at an old vcds log to check on the old battery where the SN is, and I cannot find it haha
