Fantastic...

KESSY on 6R. Its really dream project.

Two years back. when I saw KESSY working on Jetta. searched online. Found one link which took me to Ali Express. and in madness i bought PKE(Passive Keyless Entry system)for $300

It is a canbus compatible kit. plug n play kit, only need to tape 5 wires

But i never dared to install it in my car. :|
can you please check this diagram and guide me? is this safe?

but now after reading your topic. again KESSY madness bite me. :D will really consider this.

it's a bit difficult to say whether it works. what happens to the immobiliser? what happens to the original keys? what signal does it use for authorization?

If I ever plan for KESSY I will go your way. Source all OE parts n do. Not the PKE system. This kit I bought in temptation and hurry.
In above kit One original key should be kept in car always. We have to remove immo reader from key cylinder insert original key in it and hide inside the car near steering column because immo reader wires.

This kit comes with 2 seperate remote keys. We have to use that. This key will send authorisation codes to module inside car. If we go near car 2-3 meters car unlocks, same way if we go away from car it locks.

quick update regarding Kessy
did in a weekend door card swap , and ELV lock / unlock when detect driver door card
When you check in Etka p/n door lock , you can see some of them have PR code kessy / not kessy

I keep my old door lock from 2005 , and they are ok
but maybe door card doing some trick ?

Oh I really stopped counting the time.
Money wise a wild guess:
ELV €50
Cluster €200
Kessy module €50
Door handles €100
Connectors €100
Keys €180
External expertise so far €100
The smile on your face when it all works out: priceless
Did you have to change out a cluster for this? I am planning on fitting a new Polo GTi cluster now and KESSY later.

Should I consider clubbing the upgrades for KESSY and GTi cluster after through research? Could you provide the part numbers for the ELV, KESSY module, connectors and Keys? I have 087 BCM right now which I plan to upgrade to 090. Any specific revision I would need to get?

Correct me if I am wrong but I would think all of these would depend on where I can source the Keys from (Frequency).

Will this kit help meet some of the part requirements?

No, you need the 5N0 handles from a tiguan with kessy. You can keep the cluster, there is no special kessy cluster. The most important is to find someone that is able to adapt the immobiliser parts.

Kessy module 5K0959434E
Connector 1J0972977D

Electronic steering lock 5K0905861C
Connector 1K0972928

Start button 5K0959839A OR 5C7959839A
holder 5K0905875A

reader coil 5K0953254A

Door handles left 4x 5N0837205L

Antenna interior 2x 5K0962132A
Connector 4B0972623

Antenna centre console 2x 5K0962132B
Connector 4B0972623

Antenna boot 2x 5K0962132B
Connector 4B0972623

Antenna rear bumper 5K0962131

Keys 5K0837202E 5K0837202AJ

Hi Iichel,

Thanks for this input. Couple of questions.

1) Did you happen to make a wiring diagram for this?

2) I am getting a 90D BCM (pics attached) and there are some differences from your BCM pins ( viewtopic.php?f=56&t=69547&hilit=KESSY#p518793). I wanted to check if they would affect KESSY functionality. More so would you happen to know what would the highlighted pins which are different affect.

3) I have made a sheet to source the components. I have PMed the link to you. Let me know if any of the components need to bought new/used from existing car for compatibility. Or if they need to be older (manufacturing year issues).

4)Do the door handles need to be from a donor vehicle for fitment or electrical/ radio compatibility issues?

5) Now, the immo components (5K0905861C, 5K0959434E, 6RU920860D) I am still yet to find someone to do it. Could you tell me what tools you used for this? I am open to other options if there is someone you can put me in touch with.

Any other inputs are welcome and appreciated.

Pranay

Update:

Hi,

1) Found the wiring diagrams from your earlier post here :
Jetta PQ25: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... TNwbnR4QkE
Beetle PQ25: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... UdUdDZrSms

I am presuming you made the wiring looms yourself. I will go through them and get back with queries. At the outset, I have some queries regarding :
1) Wiring Length and gauge of each harness (There is a number on the wiring diagram is this gauge? What is rt / sw / ge )
2) Sources for the crimps for the KESSY signal connectors and the door handles. I have found a source for the antennas which come with pre-crimped wires. However I would prefer to not solder wires and extend them. Sources for the crimps for the Antenna connectors would be great. Am I missing any other component / connector?

Bump.

Any inputs are appreciated. I am primarily wary of the parts requiring immobilizer coding. Before beginning to source parts for this, if anyone can add thoughts/suggestions on immo coding and challenges, it would be great.

sorry, I overread your post.
rt = rot = red
sw = schwarz = black
ge = gelb = yellow
german for colours.

most crimps are MQS, micro quadlock system. as far as the wire lengths go, just make the wires as you lay them in the car. it makes more sense to do it like this. you'll have to run a lot of wire to all over the car. it's no use to pre-cut them to a length, since the routing may differ and being short a few cm is a huge PITA. for thickness, refer to the diagrams.
