Looks great for a 30mm drop. How is the ride quality?
More Pics?
you notice no difference with the 18 inch wheels and the driving quality is good. I dont know if you have the drive select mode on your car but that still works n combination with the lowering springs.
On my rounds today I found myself in a lane next to a Polo Beats in the same colour as my Gti+.
We went separate directions at a roundabout and then I found myself next to yet another bright red Polo.
There are plenty of them on the road now.
I have Galaxy S9 and use Android Auto every day. My Polo already destroyed one USB C cable and I had to replace USB connector in my Galaxy S9 (worst part was to take it apart) . So today I made foam insert whitch rise my phone and it is not resting on usb cable while using AA. Sorry can't take photo with phone inside.
^ I find those USB ports an awful fit - they're incredibly tight for USB sticks or USB leads to plug into, at times I convince myself that I am trying to plug in upside down because it is so damn tight to push the plug home.
Can't take a photo with your phone on place? I guess not many people have a proper phone anymore and take all their pics on their phone.
I have a longer cable.
I've tucked it as neatly as can be bothered, it's not unsightly. It's a matching red colour as it happens but wasn't a deliberate thing.
It goes from port 1 of the USB and I place my phone in the arm rest.
I’ve been dealing with the local installer of the autowatch Ghost immobiliser with a view to make it compatible with the Gti, after an initial installation failure of the ghost due to incompatible software codes (the ghost activated, but the car still started/drove), it was agreed that when I have some free time he would return with the product manufacturer. So today he returned with the technical guy who had driven 4.5hrs from Glasgow and they both sat with a laptop connected to the car. Then after 5hrs Reading data log they got a ghost to work on the Gti. However at the last minute shortly after the tech guy had left the ghost threw a wobbly, and it was decided to remove it and “further develop the software”
So far it’s cost me nothing but time, but the local installer has lost income on 2 occasions, and until they prove to me that they have a 110% reliable item I won’t be considering it again
My Polo has just had its first service. At around 4800 miles since I changed to Michelin PS4, we are at 5mm fronts and 7mm rear with even wear across the width (been running 36psi). I don't recall new tread depth, but rear wear expectations are probably 40k miles all in, so 12% wear, I'm guessing 7.5 or 8mm. The PS4S are 7.4mm new.
So I'm expecting fronts to be done in at 12k miles of wear.
Apparently brakes are only 15% worn front and back - 6 years out of a set of pads/disks? Yes please! Makes a change from my Golf R, where every time it went in from a year old, they claimed my rear disks were 90% done in. I'm a light braker as I anticipate the road ahead well.
I have my GTI dials back apparently (haven't checked yet). Check - yes they're there!
I did have an issue this morning (it has happened twice before) that they couldn't find a fault code for:-
If I get to work very early, put the DSG stick in P and turn ignition off, then sit in the car to listen to the radio for 5-10 mins, then open the door to get out, for a short while I get told to put the car into P on the dash and the beeps are on. It goes away after I close the door behind me and lock up.
The garage did find a nail in my rear left tyre, pressed hard for a replacement, I said no and they took the nail out and discovered that it had not pierced the tyre.

Looks like you activated GTI Scheme for the virtual dash. I only got mine back to this yesterday after the garage did a software update and put the non-GTI one on.

How much did it cost? They quoted me £163 for the first service (oil change service). I politely told them to jog on with that price. The car is actually on the 2 year maintenance cycle so not too necessary anyway.
