Polo Nivus
In the rest of the wolrd it could perhaps be known as the T-Cross Coupe. Not bad, would like to see it in the "flesh" before making my mind up:

Re: Polo Nivus
Sorry, but not for me. I struggle to understand why some of these new models are launched. What does the Nivus offer a buyer over a T Cross, other than less headroom for rear seat passengers, and a sloping rear window? I’m sure it’ll sell though, with SUV type vehicles seeming to be the current trend.
VW are also going to be launching a convertible version of the T-Roc. I was under the impression that VW were moving away from producing vehicles aimed at low volume niche segments, which is why they killed off the Scirocco and the Beetle. So producing a convertible T-Roc seems a strange move; if I wanted a convertible, I certainly wouldn’t be considering a convertible SUV.

That same website mentioned the T-Roc convertable will have a premium of 3000 Euro over standard model with roof.

Re: Polo Nivus
Wow! . With that sort of price premium over the standard ‘tin top’ model, I can’t see VW selling many, so it’s likely to be a very rare sight on the roads.

Give me £2k and I'll take the roof of for you !OomStu_ZA wrote:That same website mentioned the T-Roc convertable will have a premium of 3000 Euro over standard model with roof.

Re: Polo Nivus
Reminds me of the similarly gross BMW X6 coupe. To me it’s pointless and a bandwagon jumping exercise but it seems this is what the car buying public now wants

Re: Polo Nivus
Looking at my previous post (2nd in this thread), I didn’t like the initial images of the Nevus at the link you posted back in January. However, looking at the latest renders, I actually think it looks quite good and IMO better looking than the rather square, boxy T-Cross.OomStu_ZA wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 9:57 pm render images updated and must say I do likey likey:

Would I buy one though? Probably not.

Re: Polo Nivus
I agree this looks much better than the original renders and much better than the T-Roc. Not for me but a shame they won’t bring it here.
Re: Polo Nivus
I actually quite like it, I think it would give the Ford puma / Toyota CHR a run for its money if they make it a mild hybrid.
Styling is more aggressive than the the somewhat disproportionate and boxy T Cross.... if they put in interior plastics that don’t resemble a garden shed they should be on for a winner...!
But then the T cross hasn’t exactly been a runaway success... probably cause if the cheap nasty interior and massively inflated cost over the polo from which it is based... I looked at it and walked away... Dacia quality with VW badge, ŠKODA nailed the interior in the kamiq for which the T cross and for that matter T roc should be getting .

Re: Polo Nivus
I prefer the styling of the current model, although IMO that render does better than the mk8 Golf. Not keen on the mini SUV style front end or the gloss plastic section between the rear lights.OomStu_ZA wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 4:48 pm some renders of facelifted AW POLO based on Nivus:

Any render produced by an independent (of VW) source is going to be purely speculative, especially if the facelift Polo might be two years away, although I suspect we’ll see it sometime next year.

Re: Polo Nivus
Yes I saw these and the back looks better than the front but I’d be amazed if this was the real facelift. Still looks better than the golf though.

Re: Polo Nivus
Complete fantasy those pics. Facelift only in someone's imagination. So many fake "scoops" by the caf mags when they've got nowt from a factual basis.
