The fraudulent garage(s) who did the MOT should be shutdown immediately. Tires older than the car itself and that not being the only point??? Seriously????

Surprising how bad some people look after a relatively new car!iichel wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 4:06 pm This guy lied his ass off selling this car.
- Service was done --> NOPE

- DSG box is fine --> NOPE clutch broken
- Hardly any damage to the body --> NOPE
- I'll do the alignment --> Steering arm ball joint broken
- 'recently' new suspension --> factory shocks installed after 9 years.
- OEM auto lights --> China light switch

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.6 TDI DSG 2011 Team/Highline
Well, the plan is as follows:
- Make this car pretty again (repairs to the body, small mods, good cleaning inside and out)
- Make the car mechanically sound and safe again (all necessary repairs)
- Regular maintenance (oil, filters, clutch) to both my Polo's
Then I'll swap the engine and gearbox with my black polo.
The black Polo will have the 1.6 TDI engine with DSG gearbox.
This car will have the 1.2 TDI engine with manual gearbox.
Then I'll sell the blue car again and hope to make somebody happy with it.
Like ciclo said, I'll be like Mike and Edd from Wheeler Dealers.
Buy some junk, restore it to its former glory and sell it. And do it myself, as a learning experience and cost saving.
Of course the workshop repair manual will be respected and I'll only be using OEM or high quality equivalent parts.
(In many cases, OEM parts are simply A quality parts with a VW sticker on it and double the price.
I like VW OEM parts, but I have no issue using parts from Bosch, Continental, TRW, Denso, Mahle, LUK, Sachs, Febi/Bilstein etc).

It's a good plan, you'll improve your 6R Rosa-line with the effort and work in the Blue Polo. I like.
You must take into account the matter related to the documentation, certifications, approval of the project by engineers, etc ... of both vehicles.

Thank you so much for V17 M ... I will update them shortly.

Yes, you indeed raise a valid point.
Luckiliy the Polo 6R has a type approval for both the 1.2 TDI manual and the 1.6 TDI DSG.
So it's a very simple and cheap process of approving the car (about 50 euros per car for administration fees).
Today, I've done some work again on the car:
- Changed coupling rods + rubbers (6Q0411314Q. The TDI engines use 18mm rubbers; TSI engines have 6Q0411314R; 17mm).
- Started removing the injectors. There is a puddle of diesel on the top of the manifold cover and the car has a very very rough idle.
There has been a previous repair to the injectors (4 different part numbers, all OEM). I suspect a leaking fuel return line of injector #1 and all others... I don't trust them.
So I made an order for 4 injectors.

nice looking car! looks to be in good shape. I cant wait to remap mine CAYB, im expecting 140 hp. The accelerator pedal feels like its made from wood, needs to be more sensitive! Really economical engine.
Yeah injector seals...
I would recommend you also run liqui moly diesel purge

Yes, I'm planning to put a Golf mk6 GTD turbo on it and hit about 200hp...
Somehow all the Polo 6R's I own have the tendency to somehow obtain Polo 6C parts. Very strange.

Well darkside developments say that stock injectors are good up to max 180 hp. So if you want 200 hp, hope that u are going with injector upgrade

Some people here in the Netherlands have over 200hp with the standard injectors. But I'll settle for 180. The limiting factor will be my DSG gearbox I think.

You are very lucky.. you can swap engine even though strict MOT.
Here once we register the car, no one will check for 15 years!!
but we can not change engine!! but many do without any documentation.

These engine air filters get so dirty after 5000km (3000 miles), right? At least, that's when the most recent service was done. If the guy who sold me the car is to believed, of course.

In goes a new Bosch filter and good to go!
Did the same for the 1.2 TDI

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.6 TDI DSG 2011 Team/Highline
Depending on the environmental conditions, there are usually more particles in suspension in places where it rains less. VW recommends anticipating replacing the air filter in these places.
Also other filters depending on the quality of the fuel used.
7500, 15000, 30000 kms for service/inspection are only standards. With a simple inspection and that common sense that we all supposedly have
, it should be enough for normal maintenance.
