Hi All,
I’m looking at installing a TS-WX130DA underseat subwoofer. It’s got a low power draw, which is quite neat because it means I don’t have to fight my way through the bulkhead to get to the battery. I emailed Pioneer to confirm all this and they’ve replied that I’m correct, but to hook it up to a constant live. That just seems odd to me - is there a risk it will constantly draw power from the battery? It’s hooked up to the head unit which I assume will ‘tell’ it when to switch on or off... does anyone know for sure?
Cheers all!

It's normal, the power consumption is high and needs a fat cable directly to the battery (best with a fuse). You also need a cable from the radio, usually the radio exit to a power antenna, to turn on the amplifier/subwoofer.
