Polo 6C ESP off retrofit button

Hi

I am looking at replacing my headunit, however the vehcile setings are stored on the headunit itself, so if i want to adjust the lighting of my headlights or ASR/ESP/TCR function i have to use my headunit, issue is if i change the headunit, i cant find aftermarket units with this option, i only care about the traction control function, and i know the 6Rs have the button installed, so is it possible to instal a button to a 6C? is it easy? or can a device like OBDEleven do it as well?

I also wanted to retrofit the button, I got as far as checking behind the panel and there is no wiring for it. You would have to add the wires as well. Check previous posts.

I am willing to do the wiring of course, just want to see if its possible and how easy it will be.

In the same boat here. I've had a look as well and couldn't find anyone who has done it.

Haven't got round to doing the homework yet. Lockdown or not it's been way too busy with work. I think the way to approach this is to get the wiring diagrams for the 6C GTi and track the esp button on there. As to how different the GTi is to the rest of the 6C models I just don't know.

Did you do it finally?? I am in the same situation, i replaced the headunit losing the TPMS function. Now i have the tpms light on and i cant turn it off or reset it cause i dont have the original headunit to do it.

I am looking a step by step but dont found it...

My last chance is disable the tpms function, but i dont know hot... I am triying with vcds...

I think you can turn esp off, by turning the ignition on, hazards on and press 5x accelerator all the way down

I see under the photos it has the tire option, could be in there, I don't see why it wouldnt retain it.

I did install the rcd 330 on my 6c. It does keep the tpms function but not esc. It’s a bummer. I am looking in a way to make esc working back. Anyone has any idea?
