Looks like the blue wire has nothing coming from the radio so i doubt that will do anything.

Not got round to the radio yet, but from fitting the dash cam I am now getting poor DAB radio signal was not before. I am guessing its the rear camera or I have knocked something.
I've had a look on the web and some are saying some magnets at both end if its the rear camera, anyone got any ideas?

Think they might mean a ferrite core clipped over the cable.

One way to check is disconnect the cam and see if the signal returns to normal.

Ferrite core clipped, Yes that's what I've seen. I will disable the rear camera to test first but anyone got a idea on what type of Ferrite core clip I would want, when i look online its hard to tell the size and I want them as sleek as possible as they will need to be hidden?

Also is the DAB Ariel on the roof or is it part of the back window?

I have sorted the radio losing signal with these clips.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TDK-CLIP-ON- ... SwOcpcG7nn
I got 4 of them put on the power cable and rear camera, it sorted it right out 8)
Now on to fitting this amp.

I will check with vw about thr roof Ariel to make sure it not just for am-fm radio I was thinking of changing to a shark fin stickover booster.

Ok ive part done the amp install. once I removed the glove box i was able to drop the glove box door and slide the radio part out, I was then able to remove the bulk cable but not the others, I could not see how to disconnect them. I modified the t harness see below with phono leads and run up the car, not sure on the fuse to use for the power, as i want it so power is there as lone as the keys are in the barrel - ignition.

Apart from the radio unit being a squeeze in the glove box the rest was easy enough

I forgot to take a picture of it connected in the boot so will add in time. I've also added a switch in the glove box to turn the amp on when needed.

On another note.. when I was taking the side panel bits of the car dash a clip dropped as a removed, not sure were this was from pictures below.
