Those mats on Driveden look good quality - my VW carpet types are already worn out I will be getting some rubber replacements.

A boot liner sounds attractive but expensive. Any sheet or piece of material can help protect it from mud and dust as a cheaper option.

If you do go on driveden (didn't find the mats or equivalent OEM fit cheaper elsewhere), register first to get a 5% off code. They are excellent, here are my A4 ones below.

Not for the Polo (yet) but for other cars I had bought rubber mats for inside and trunk with border from https://www.kofferraumwannen.de/ .

Also, other gadgets I had are rubber mats for the slots of the car
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000429 ... 4c4dbTL5eC

and a slot divisor for the phone:

The slot divisor was cutted because of the USBs and with the charging cable fixed to easy connection.

And now I'm waiting for the delivery for a storage box for the armrest

Check out Ebay for rubber mats and boot liners. Got a very good set of rubber mats that fit perfectly for £34 and a boot liner for £17.99 that can be ordered for either upper or lower position.
I change my front and rear carpet mats to the rubber ones for winter and change back in the spring so keeps them in good condition.

The German shop of the link I post is even cheaper, the 4 floor mats (can't have the high edge because of the beats system) and other for the trunk, with shipping is 60€.

Those mats are probably for left hand drive cars though, so wouldn’t be suitable for UK cars.
