New Mod: MQB PLA 2.0 8K Auto active park pilot

I bought new module 5Q0 919 294L with 3 to 2 conversion adapter harness for plug and play installation. The new module was flashed with firmware 1K8 919 472C along with necessary parameter using VCP.
    Image

Coded the module for Polo6R using VCDS, and the result:
    Image

Activated Park pilot in IC, with new menu:
    Image
    Image

Rear traffic alert(RTA) now works with additional beep along with colored warning display of moving object on reverse. With previous PQ 7E0 8K module, there was only display without warning beep.
    Image

I really like the way new module works. Parking sensors are autoactivated with OPS display overlaying+ dash button glowing, if obstacle is/are detected upto 20km/hr of vehicle speed.

If obstacles are detected in both front and back, there is no cacophony from both front and back speakers, only obstacle nearest to sensors will buzz, distracting the driver less.

Music play also automutes if front sensors are in red zone, really liked this feature. The dash button is now essentially only for beauty

In picture below, obstacle at both front and back. only front sensors buzzing, rear sensors grey out silently:

    Another nice upgrade Patil! 👌
We could say that your 6R is a PQ25+. (like many other 6Rs around the world)
Automatic front OPS activation is great ... I mean, everything we've gotten to be automatic on the PQ25 is great. 8)

Thank you for your appreciation Master.

Interesting designation for my 6R...PQ25+ I liked it. 8)

Even though the new module is working perfectly functionality wise, an error is hanging in address 10. I tried with different coding combinations, but the error refuses to go. :?
I couldn't decipher the exact meaning of the error.
    Such error:

J527 is the electronic steering column control unit.
I assume the new PDC unit which is for a different platform than the PQ25 expects to receive the data from the BCM---G85 sensor on the powertrain CAN lines, which in turn I assume will show the directional lines (the vehicle path) on screen 5F.
It seems that this new unit is not receiving data correctly from the BCM PQ25.

Disable the 'Vehicle Path Display' on the PDC control unit if you have it enabled. Byte1 Bit5

Another thing I can think of (and maybe it's stupid ), ... what if you enable Byte24 Bit4 in your BCM?

Looks great Patil, very nice job. Do you think this will work on the old rns510 as well or only on the newer discover media unit?

    Logical explanation Master!!

I think our PQ25 steering column control unit has no required HW/SW to communicate with new module I think, the same goes with ABS unit. Today I saw 2 new errors in 5F related to error which is hanging in address 10( didn't click photos, will do it tomorrow and post here). I will try to dig more in adaptation channels of 5F related to park assist.

I didn't enable vehicle path display at all knowing that it will not work on our PQ 25.

I enabled Byte24 Bit4 in BCM, still error hangs.

It looks like there are many reports of same error posted in many forums after installing such module on PQ 25 platform.. like Skoda Rapid, T6 multivan etc..

This is my current coding for address 10: 0001151011

    Thanks iichel🙏

Yes the module will work on RNS/RCD 330/340.

For RNS/RCD, BAP 3.3 Protocol should be selected in Byte2.
For Discover/ Composition media, BAP 4.0 protocol should be selected in Byte2.

It has been shown that it is possible with KessV2 and with FGtech Galleto for 1.2 TSI CBZ.

Hello, you must contact firegrafik, perhaps he can tell you how to activate it or who you should contact.
I suppose it is possible with an emulator for your 6R 1.4 CGGB, not by activation in the ECU.

    Thank you ag69. 😊

I must give credit to Slavik for his excellent posts about both BSD and MQB auto park mod on D2. His post was an inspiration to me to pursue similar mods.

Slavik, if you are reading this post, I would like to thank you with heartfelt gratitude.🙏

    Namaste.
