There is no middle resonator on this system it only has the back box straight from the opf/gpf. Here in England a resonator isn't a legal requirements for cars. As dar as I am aware the only legal requirement is emissions that the exhaust captures.fran_92 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 11:47 pmIt sounds really good.. the problem is that it is not legal without the middle resonatorStuart_Rendall wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 8:14 pmIt isn't resonated. After hard drives there is alot of sound from inside and I get the occasionally fart or bang from it but they are very few and far between. I have heard it does take a while to get the full sound out if the exhaust.

Yeah, did it myself. Took maybe 10minutes was a bit fiddly but worked out well.
Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Much better than stock. The GPF really does strangle the sound; you can hear it wanting to give more. I've chased my order up on the Remus so if that ever turns up I'll put up a video too so we can see if there is a difference. Unless it's rubbish in which case I'll not bother.Stuart_Rendall wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 8:14 pmIt isn't resonated. Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Hello..!!
Today I retrofitted the reverse flip camera logo. It gave a lot of work... But it is pretty cool.
I wanted to ask about something. When I was installing the camera I removed one of the side trim panels of the dashboard (from passenger side), which has an airbag connector, you can see the piece in one of the images. I passed the ignition with this panel disconnected and I saw an alert on the dash screen saying that there is a problem with the airbag. I didn't worry because I assumed it should be because this panel was disconnected.
However, after connecting and fitting all trim plastic panels again, I still have this alert on the dash screen. Any advice? I don't know how to remove it.. It's weird that it keeps showing the error and I checked the connector was correctly fitted.
This is the plastic panel I removed and fit back again: This is the alert on the dash screen: Thanks guys. You are an awesome community. Best regards from France.

The error code probably just needs to be cleared via VCDS or ODB2 Cable.... MJlroldaoj wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 9:21 pm Hello..!!

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Well, it’s so quiet even without the resonator - no one will ever notice.
I have a resonator delete on my GTI, sounds just like the Milltek, but cost £50 to do.
It brings out a lot more character of the car, but it’s still a very muted sound, just like the Milltek. It lacks the throatiness that pre-opf cars had.
The OPF kills sounds and makes it sound restricted.

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
OPF does ruin the character a little. In the new year once we can get out and about again i'm looking to remove the OPF so the sound improves.phillos wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 8:31 amWell, it’s so quiet even without the resonator - no one will ever notice.

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
And is it okay for long trips? This car is my daily car, and I usually makes long trips. I don't want to be uncomfortable with a drone sound the whole time.phillos wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 8:31 amWell, it’s so quiet even without the resonator - no one will ever notice.

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Installed a armrest storage divider, quite happy with it and the way it fits has plenty of room underneath to hide stuff
Also wrapped the tsi and vw letters on my engine cover with some old carbon wrap I had.

I was thinking of getting one of these storage dividers but need to check size. The cubby hole under the dash won't fit my phone unfortunately.

I have that divider too and it's quite small, my phone it's a 6 inch display and does not fit there.

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Treated myself and my GTI+ to an early Christmas present - a set of RC Design RC32’s in satin/matt grey; 7.5Jx18” ET51. They’re a more durable powder coated finish than the diamond cut alloys they’ll be replacing, so should stand up to the UK weather much better, and no risk of white worm corrosion. If only VW offered an option of a similar powder coated alloy for the GTI/GTI+, rather than the only option being diamond cut.
Now to get some decent tyres - Michelin PS4’s are the most likely.
