Hello friends,

New mod: Sun visors with vanity mirror Led lights


Parts:

Visors for RHD, 6R0 857 552AL 2F4(Driver) and 6R0 857 551N 2F4 (passenger). Bought used, but in excellent condition, as new are very expensive.!!





New Led lights grey color 5F0 947 109C Y20(2pcs)
Frame 3B0 868829(2pcs)
Led light 2 pin connectors 1J0 971 972(2pcs)
Connectors for sun visor switch 1J0 973 119(2pcs)
Terminals for connectors 000979 019E (8pcs)





I don't have wiring diagram for making connection, but figured out the way myself after some trial and error.

1st time made a wiring diagram with MS Paint, took more time than I thought, my computer skill sucks

I would get a LHD left side sun visor so you don't have the big airbag sticker on it
(that's what I did, get a RHD right visor to get rid of the sticker)

Otherwise, good job, add a lot of luxury!

Thank you iichel, it never crossed my mind about using LHD driver side sun visor to get rid of airbag sticker. Infact my factory passenger side sun visor didn't had the sticker.

I will look out for LHD driver side sun visor and change it whenever possible.

Mod no 2:

Ignition key 12v red illumination ring.


I stumbled upon a post on drive2 where a person by name FreeONiggg posted details about custom made 12v ignition key illumination ring for VAG group of cars. He manufactures the rings and sell. I spoke to him and bought one for myself. He makes ring color of our choice.. like red, white, green etc. The ring comes with fuse inline with connectors and cloth tape wrapped.

For installation, steering wheel must be removed in our Polo. I tapped the power supply from driver side footwell light. So the ring illuminates whenever car is unlocked and goes off when car is locked.

Mod no 3

Front door pockets felt liners.

I was always annoyed by the rattling sound of water bottles in front door pockets during driving. I decided to do something about it.

I found a person on Drive2 by name Asterfaster who makes the door pocket carpets for few Skoda and Polo sedan cars. I discussed with him, but he didn't had templates to make carpets for Polo hatch. He assured me that Polo sedan front door templates almost matches to hatch. I bought these ready made self sticking carpets and installed. I would say I am satisfied with the outcome. No more rattling of water bottles now.

My solution for tailgate open/warning lights:




DSG lever with Red stitched leather(6R1 713 203H A0T).... My obsession for RED is taking its toll.




R-line fender badge 4H0 853 744 N 2ZZ: After installing so many parts starting with R letter, I decided to self certify my little 6R.




Another source of rattling found and fixed.
