Same as me! Where are you sourcing the screen from? VW in the U.K. we’re looking for £600 for this one with the heated elements!

I’ve got all the other bits ready to go although my camera is only on ‘j’ and is from an arteon.

The non-heated windscreen is half the price of what you indicate.

I have not yet decided where and when I am going to install the new windshield, although I am clear that it will be in a workshop where they will have the devices to calibrate the camera, without a perfect calibration all the work carried out previously (8IU LED headlights) do not make sense.

I will ask for quotes at Car Glass and other local workshops.
I have discarded the usual VW dealer where I bought the cars, I no longer have the same feelings with them that I had before... :|

Yea it’s defiantly worth it with these getting them calibrated right. I had the non heated at about £300 too so might just stick with that!

I have a place near me that can fit the screens so going to get them to do that in the spring and then put the other bits in. I then have another garage that has the genuine calibration equipment which I will get to calibrate it. I see people online doing it with the print out sheets but all feels a bit sketchy.

Well, I have been learning about these issues recently (erWin, experts, etc) and calibrating the camera and regulating the matrix headlights with an electronic reglosscope is essential for the perfect functioning of the DLA function.
erWin recommends adjusting the height of the LED headlights with the high beams, although it is also possible with the low beams.

In my previous car, VW Passat B7, the windshield has been installed on a Car Glass workshop and they made a great job, they calibrated the camera just perfectly, here in Portugal.

But i'm not sure if they calibrate the headlights also

Can you share the part number of heated and non heated windshield?

Thank you very much for the info.👍

VW dealers have electronic regloscopes for headlight height adjustment, according to model and headlights type.
