Hi everyone.
My girlfriend has a 2018 Polo. It does not have any kind of satnav functionality but has a digital infotainment system with Apple CarPlay etc.
Do VW provide firmware updates to this system that can be applied by the owner at home?
Thanks for any advice.

As far as I’m aware, updates (if there are any) that are relevant to the Composition Media infotainment unit would be applied by the dealer.

Re: Discover Media firmware update
I've got a 2018 Polo, and only this week I got an email from my dealer, I went somewhere else for my MOT as it was too soon to have my MOT during the service.
The email said on the last page
"We're sorry that we missed you. Claim your complimentary vehicle check and software check"
On the email it said it would up-date the software.
So check with your local dealer and see if your entitled to the free software check, If you don't ask, you don't get !!
