I'm a new owner of a 2011 1.2 TDI, 51k miles on the clock. A nice little car, I'd like to keep it that way, but the service schedule in the book is puzzling.
For a 1.2 TDI it quotes a "camshaft drive belt" replacement interval of 140k miles. I'm not that savvy about cars under the bonnet, just that it's very important that the belt doesn't snap and that previous older cars I'd owned had a timing belt replaced at more like 70k miles.
For a car of that age and mileage, when should I realistically plan on a belt replacement?

Yes. 210.000 km or ten years, or in case of visual wear.

Thanks, a fair bit of conflicting information out there, seems like a change should have been made at least once going by the age, but there's nothing about that in the service history I can see. They really should have said something about the age in the manual.
I'll see about pricing and making an appointment for one.
