New GTI Ordered!
Re: New GTI Ordered!
Thats awesome news dude I've got a really bad soft spot for these they are definitely the only other Polo GTI apart from the 6N2 GTI that has that certain look.
Wish I could do the same,Ive saved up enough to buy one straight up but really to invest in a property.
To say I'm jealous would be an understatement.

6n2 gti resurrection
Nearly 6 years since my last post! I still have both the Gti's.
The blue 6R has had some APR treatment and a VW performance induction kit & some other bits & pieces. I've been Looking at BMW M2's, but not ready to upgrade just yet...
The 6n2 has been Garaged for years, & will be getting restored in the coming years (who knows when!)
I think the 6n2 gti's will be a sought after classic hot hatch & couldn't bare to sell it for pennies when I've invested & looked after it so long. So hopefully this thread will become a 6n2 gti re-build thread. I'll get some photos of its sorry state, looks like a barn find
I will need some front wings & a boot when the time comes so keeping my eyes open for bargains.

Re: 6n2 gti resurrection
Well, I'm a bit of a latecomer to this thread, but as the last post was 6 years ago and I didn't even know about the 6N2 GTi back then I have a reasonable excuse.
I agree that they will be a classic in time, by the lack of posts in this forum recently it looks like most of them have disappeared out of use, or they are now so reliable they never break down.
I currently have one in each colour, my red one (well OK, pink in parts) was a rescue job and came from Chester le Street with just 76,000 miles. My black 3dr is suffering from severe lacquer peel on the roof, initiated by some bird droppings I think
I think body parts should be cheap to come by, unless you need the splitters etc
