Creaking (gear-like) noise from suspension following spring replacement

Post FORUM SPECIFIC questions here: Such as, "HELP, I can't keep logged in for more than one session" etc... Not general help questions such as "my car won't start". You get the idea?

Creaking (gear-like) noise from suspension following spring replacement

Hi all,

First post on here as I’m wondering if anyone can help.

Recently replaced my 2 front coil springs on my VW Polo 1.2 2013 following the front driver side spring snapping. Everything seemed well until I noticed a creaking/gear-like noise, which is more frequent when going over speedbumps. Videos attached below of sounds.

Is everything tied up properly and torqued to the correct values?

Just checked everything, turns out it was a piece of the undertray that managed to come loose and was scraping against the floor! Thankfully noise is gone now :mrgreen:
