Hi all,
So my daily has decided to throw all its toys out and stop working .
Firstly the remote central locking was at best intermittent on the unlock , but A1 on the lock,it may take 3/4 presses for it to unlock
The interior door button worked every time lock / unlock.
This was followed by both front electric windows inop and no lock / unlock from the remote .
I’m convinced this is/ was the CCM failing ? I’ve checked the door connections (all clean and tight,no broken wires, rubber boots ok) it has had both door catches replaced in my ownership (2 door car) most recently the driver’s side to try to cure this issue with unlocking.
So my question is can I fit a used CCM ? Then just recode it to my spec ie number of doors ,remote keys , non selective opening etc ?
My current CCM part in the original 2007 unit, part number 6Q0 959 433 E it also has 3 plugs/ connectors the vehicle only uses 2 of these, other part numbers on the unit are 5DK 008 129 - 01

Re: Comfort Control Module
Of you have keyfob remote locking now, you should have the same ccm with 3 plugs.
Bottom one is for rear doors If available, top one is used for factory alarm (light brown plug)
So you just need to recode anti hijack etc, and couple your keyfobs.
Piece of cake, just a b***h to reach the module

Re: Comfort Control Module
The car came from factory with remote central locking , it’s a 3 door car so maybe that’s why only 2 plugs are used ? The one pictured is the original I removed from the car.
So I can use a used unit and recode my existing keys to it ?
Oh and yes this control unit is pretty well hidden up under the dash behind the steering column

Re: Comfort Control Module
If your car is 3-doors with factory alarm, then 2 plugs are present.
3rd one empty
Delete the stored keyfobs in the replacement ccm.
Add yours and code some preferences, and you should be good to go.
