I am likely to have a VW Golf MK7.5 Comfortline for some time
It's not sure but it is possible. My leasing car is not available any more. So it is likely to have for some time a GOLF MK7.5 (used).
As you can understand, I'm excited and I'm looking for what I can do to retrofit without many interventions on the car.
For start I am searching for the Wiring manual. If someone has it, it could be nice to share it with me.
The VIN is: WVWZZZAUZKW0xxxxxx so it is MY2019
Thanks
@ciclo, i took a lot of ideas from your tread (your wife's GOLF).
P.S. the BCM info. Part No SW: 5Q0 937 084 DA HW: 5Q0 937 084 CD

Re: I am likely to have a VW Golf MK7.5 Comfortline for some time
Is true. I came into possession of a VW GOLF for a certain time (a few months). It's on a corporate lease, but I own it anyway.
First VCDS scanning.
I have some ideas for retrofits, for example exit lighting at the doors and footwell lights for the passengers.
First VCDS scanning.

Re: I am likely to have a VW Golf MK7.5 Comfortline for some time
So, I'm ready to move on with the footwell lighting upgrade.
I am looking for the coding process.
This post is exactly what I'm looking for.
viewtopic.php?p=573840#p573840
I have a quick question for Fernando.
Should I run the first list of adjustments and then proceed with the second one (the one you wrote works perfectly for you) ?
PS. Continuing searching, i find that the second "way" is all i need. Anyway, any help or advice is welcome

Re: I am likely to have a VW Golf MK7.5 Comfortline for some time
I did it with the first adaptations that I posted and everything worked perfectly.
(footwell + ambient lighting)
Then, quite by chance, I found the second way of 'adaptation' for the footwell lights, which includes the specific menu (sliding bar) in the menu of the infotainment system.
I didn't try this second way because I already had colored ambient lights installed, whose menu is much broader.
Please try the second way of adaptations and illustrate the slider (footwell lights) with a picture, in any case you can return to the first method if it doesn't work for you.

Re: I am likely to have a VW Golf MK7.5 Comfortline for some time
Project done. Success.
Wiring

Adaptation:
I proceeded to the second way from the beginning. I followed the steps exactly. Everything works fine.
The slider appeared at the infotainment and adjusts the intensity of the lighting.

(words in Greek language but you understand)
I copy it there just in case..
Next project: Door entry lights.

Re: I am likely to have a VW Golf MK7.5 Comfortline for some time
Hi,
i have a question about the flashdaten file and the versions between hardware and software.
If anyone knows the answer please share it with me.
My GOLF at Address 19: CAN Gateway (J533) has the follow information
Part No SW: 3Q0 907 530 Q HW: 3Q0 907 530 C
Component: GW MQB High 439 4344
So there is a Hardware version 3Q0 907 530 C but a software 3Q0 907 530 Q on version 4344
Searching for updates i found out

Which one should i use to update (if i should) ?
I can't understand the difference between the Hardware and the software version, or to be more specific i don't know which one should i check for choosing any update.
Thank you.

I think it would be good to use the VW version since the CAN gateway should also run a VW Golf dataset. I'm not sure that's available for this Skoda SW version.

Thanks for the picture of the slider for the footwell lights.
My advice is that you do not make SW updates until you are clear about what you are doing.
There are a lot of better SW updates for that GW (HW).
Draw your own conclusions with the following images.

"Read the component", ...530Q 5344 is the SW, ...530C 518 is the HW.
Load the local flash file and Start flashing.

... as you can see, 518 HW hasn't changed.
... if you search hard in D2 you can find that flash file.
---
Ah, neither the dataset nor the coding is lost when flashing the GW.

Re: I am likely to have a VW Golf MK7.5 Comfortline for some time
Understood
Thanks for the information.
I have never updated a BCM or other component with the ODIS-E procedure. From an academic point of view I am interested, but on the other hand I am afraid that something will happen and the car will stop. However, I fell head over heels with the module code I presented as an example. I see that you have advanced this particular topic a lot.
PS. I already found the file you suggested. I am thinking of making my first attempt at this process.

The first thing you have to do before any update is register all the adaptations and coding of all the modules with VCDS.
Autoscan for coding and RAW HEX for adaptations.
According to the autoscan posted above, the GW update with ODIS E should go well.
I ask myself a couple of questions about the ownership of the vehicle (current legalities) and what reason do you have to update the GW, but I don't want you to answer them publicly. Ask yourself the same questions and if everything is ok for you, proceed with the update.

That's a very good advice. At this moment, i want to procced with an updated, but i will not. The reason is that this car is not mine, it belongs to the Leasing Company, so I don't want to cause any problems for me and my company.ciclo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 5:47 pm The first thing you have to do before any update is register all the adaptations and coding of all the modules with VCDS.

I will proceed with minor upgrades, such as door entry lights and maybe front fog lights.
