Heater core not sealing

Post by PatrickPT89 »

Good afternoon.

This time, I'm having problem with the heater core not sealing up proprely. Even when to VW to buy two OEM O-rings, and they are a pain to connect with the metal pipe.
I did follow the VW instalation guide, and put the O-rings first inside de heater core, with no success, and then try to put the O-rings firts on the pipes, no luck either, after pressure test.

Took it all apart, again, and did perform a bench test with the pipe connected to the heater core, and again, the leakage show up. I can see that the metal plate (6Q0 121 142) thats holds the pipe its not making enough pressure to seal it proprely. Everything was torque to spec.

So, what do I need to do? Because it's getting on my nerves already... Do I buy a new pipe (6Q0 121 064 N), a new Heater core?
Or do I buy one of this (6Q0 121 065 M) and two (1J0 122 291 C) and buy some hoses and try to make it work? Have some one try this method?

Thanks in advance.
