Resorted to using my old TomTom today

Since having Android Auto in this Polo i have not had to use my old TomTom till today..

Was at a crematorium ( middle of nowhere and only got there by following the funeral cars with a police bike escort.. who stopped all traffic at junctions and islands!)for family funeral and was to go to a local ish pub (again in the middle of nowhere) marquee afterwards.. could not get any data signal at all to navigate by Google..

Drove away from the crem for a mile to try to get a signal but no go.. no idea where this pub was and no map either...

Resorted to my TomTom which I keep in the boot always and got sorted in 3 minutes.. also got there before all the others who had similar problems..

If you download the maps for AA then it will work (when there is no signal) although there would also be no live traffic information but map directions would be fine.

I do have maps downloaded on my phone...
