Polo 2007 9n wipers not working

Hi wipers on my polo are not working when activating the stalk. Only thing that works when I lift the stalk is the spray wash but no movement on the wipers at all. Currently wipets have been bypassed using a manual switch.

Could simply be a problem with the stalk as there are no known relays on this model relating to the wipers- thanks

Hi just fitted new stalk, but now it only works on position 3 , no intermittent , no position 2 but works on 3

Do you have a rainsensor?

New stalk fitted, but now wipers only work on highest position, no Operation on intermittent or position 2 -any ideas for next step ?

Are you sure there is no broken wire?
Stalk was new?
Do you have VCDS?

Update as promised, if we don’t update non will be the wiser and everyone loses out. Wipers fully operational again. Turned out it was a relay.
