I bought a 2008 Polo about a year ago just to get my driving test done with it, all seemed fine but the passenger side window isn't functional, which apparently now, due to covid guidelines I cannot take my test without a functional passenger window.
So what I've done to try fix it:
- Replaced both driver side and passenger side motors and regulators.
- Checked and replaced fuses.
- Checked wiring but no damage or corrosion.
Now, everything indicates to the motor shorting, you could plug the passenger window in and press the button for opening it, and it will open fine, but then the driver side window no longer works. Likewise in the reverse.
Would anyone here have an idea? Thanks

Checkthe wiring harness where it passes from the door to the cab and look for continuity from there to see if you have a bad earth or short? Do the speakers on that door function okay and does the locking (remote/central) function well too? What about heated wing mirror?
