To say that everything I see in real life is totally clear/sharp, I guess I'll have to improve the means I have to capture better images or videos.
Radar parameterization. Data sets. Dynamic calibration.
With the 'three' data sets tested (actually there are two
), both radars worked and work completely correctly from the first Km of the tests, exactly the same as they did in our Golf 7.5. Same distances for vehicle detection at different speeds or roads used - highways, secondary roads, through the city, roundabouts, etc.- . (Video3)As in the Golf 7.5, the BSD warning lights flash quickly in case of activating the turn signal on the side where a vehicle is detected. The BSD system detects/activates/deactivates at preset/correct speeds.
No false positives/detections (ghosts) or similar, many kms traveled without any strange behavior. As shown during the project, I was extraordinarily meticulous to position the radars correctly (angles).
I have tested the VCP datasets for Golf (MQB), the ODIS datasets for Golf GTI (MQB), and the ODIS datasets for SK OCTAVIA (MQB).
In conversations with my good friends (Slavik
, Patil) they advised me that the SK OCTAVIA datasets are better suited to VW vehicles similar in condition to my 6R R-line (ground clearance, e.g. Scirocco), and that is the main reason for this long testing process.To perform data transfer on the 3C unit for 5Q0 radars on a VW25X the VW36X platform can be used.

As I mentioned at the beginning of the project, dreaming is free, and on this occasion dreams became reality.

-For Golf GTI (MQB)
The data with a value of 100% was shown in a few Kms, less than 5km. Screenshot taken during testing, the km shown are irrelevant for these '5Q0' radars.

), but I did not manage to get a positive result regarding the RTA with the installed units. I return everything to normal and Nothing happened here.
, we NEVER needed the RCTA in the Golf, I never received any warnings, nor did braking occur (only in the tests when the 5Q0 radars were retrofitted), so my efforts to get RTA working on the 6R end here, I'll wait for some wizard to have some good ideas/updates on this.
