Replace BCM

hi,

I bought a new bcm for my polo 9n3 (6q0937049f) many people told me that it doesn't matter if it comes from a 3 or a 5 door. today it arrived and i immediately tested it on the bench, the new bcm comes from a 3 door (mine is a 5) and therefore i mount it but it doesn't detect the opening of the rear doors, in fact the courtesy lights don't turn on and in vcds it indicates N/A in rear doors. someone told me that it needs to be coded..but nobody knows how

the basic coding is 09358 on both bcm 3 the can coding is 00014 always on both.

Someone are able to help me?

Does this BCM has 3 connector slots? Or just 1?
Top small square one is for alarm
Middle one for front doors
Lower one for rear doors

In the latest version on VCDS there will be a list of code optional.

As I wrote, the rear doors don't work (the courtesy lights don't turn on and the dashboard doesn't show the open door image)

Check Adress/Module 46 in VCDS
Look for the coding, could be coded for 3 door

46 is coding for 5 doors (central lock work)..repeat problem is bcm what elsa say 2 different integrate code..one for 3 doors and one for 5...all tell me that is possible to coding but no one is able to tell me how

Think Only solution is gone back that bcm and search for 5 doors one

I've elsa..pin are the same and i try it on bench..for me is a eeprom program at all

In coding there is nothing for doors and in mother board are all full solder

From my ex-9N3 five-door, central locking with remote control, courtesy lights, footwell lights, etc... I think I activated everything that was possible.
Maybe there is a chance that you will find some new function... I no longer remember everything that I activated/coded in this BCM.

It is a LHD, meaning the steering wheel is on the left. I guess it will be fine for Italy.

This was the last Autoscan I was able to do from this wonderful car before the new owner took it away.
