Is the 10th December a confirmed build date or was that the dealer’s ’best guess’ of the build date at the time you ordered your car? If it’s the latter, then the build date could change. You can ask you dealer for your car’s build status code; status 10 = build week scheduled but not confirmed, status 20 = Factory production week confirmed. If your car’s build is status 20, then production should definitely start on 10th December and that date shouldn’t change.

When I bought my last Polo back in 2020, typically it took around 6 weeks for cars to reach the UK from the factory in South Africa. I wouldn’t expect it to be much different now. Once in the UK, cars can be waiting a couple of weeks or so at port side in a storage compound before they’re transported to the dealership, so you might be looking at mid February delivery - that’s assuming your car’s build does start on 10th December.

Just got an update from my dealership, they stated january is expected delivery date but did not specify when. I reckon it will most likely be end of Jan dont see it coming at the start especially if build date is going to be around 10 december
